HEAR Monitor Farm - Robert Payne Partners
February
The crop is starting move now. Back in late 2022, poly-sulphate supplied sulphur to the crop. 100kg/ha of nitrogen was applied to the crop in the spring to push growth on. No fungicides or trace elements have been applied so far but will be soon.

October
The crop has moved on despite a slow start due to the dry conditions and is now a good size and well established. Centurion max has been applied in October for the grass weeds and as we head towards the end of the month the crop is approaching top of boot height and if it stays mild a PGR might be required.
In October rain was recorded as 50.4 mm and temperatures are currently averaging 12.8 °C (see Sencrop weather data below).
August / September
The HEAR variety Rocca was drilled end of August and after some damage from CSFB and slugs mid-September which were treated for the crop has had rain and is growing away now.
Grass weeds are emerging and will be treated for when conditions allow.
In September rain was recorded as 47.4mm and temperatures are currently averaging 14.7 °C (see Sencrop weather data below).
